The click

By Elías NuevoDeep Thinking

You feel a little stupid for not seeing it earlier, for “wasting” that time to get there.

Just before that, you’d had that ‘click’ moment, and everything suddenly felt much clearer. It had been puzzling you. Suddenly, it wasn’t.

It may feel random, but it happens more easily when you have the right space, enough context and good questions that make you think differently.

Sometimes, something clicks while you’re talking about something else. That’s what Dr. House used to experience, and whilst it was fictional, it does have some truth to it: through listening, observation, and interaction we learn. And when we learn, our perspective shifts slightly, and the context feels different, which might lead you to that click.

And you haven’t wasted that time, you needed to go through that process to get where you are before seeing it more clearly.
